Ottawa Valley N-Trak is an N scale model railway club located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Check out our upcoming show schedule to see where and when we will have our layout operating. Stop by and say, "Hi". We always love meeting fellow enthusiasts!
Follow our Facebook page to get the latest updates.
We are always looking for new members and anyone is welcome to join. No experience required.
Our members meet every 2 weeks for breakfast on Sundays (when not at trains shows) to talk trains. We do not have a fixed location, so several times a year we put our club layout on display at local and out of town shows in and around eastern Ontario and western Québec for the public to enjoy.
Benefits of joining:
Build & run trains
Participate in public shows
Social meetups (like Sunday breakfasts)
We use the N-Trak modular standard. The basic N-Trak module is 48" long and 24" wide with three tracks. Our club uses the new standard PowerPole connectors not Cinch Jones connectors.
T-Trak is a separate N scale standard that is smaller and lighter than N-Trak. It uses 2 tracks instead of 3. There are several members of our club that use T-Trak for their home layout and would be happy to explain their use and construction.
Our club was founded in 1976 by Robin Adair, Tom Caine, Ian Flowers, Bruce Giles, Jim Nelson, and Chris Vernell. 50 years later we are still going strong. Our current membership is about 15-18 people.
